Long Bay Theatre’s New Location To Open With Mary Poppins

The first production is Mary Poppins which opens Wednesday and will run through Oct. 25.

Long Bay Theatre’s new theatre opens in downtown Myrtle Beach this week.

The new location is the first theatre to open in the Arts and Entertainment district downtown. It offers more space, a larger stage and 200 seats, offering double the audience attendance count compared to their previous location.

The new theatre is located across the street from the upcoming performance arts center, which is a collaboration between Coastal Carolina University and the City of Myrtle Beach.

Long Bay Theatre’s new location was backed by community donations and they’re still accepting donations for future performances. The first production is Mary Poppins which opens Wednesday and will run through Oct. 25.
