This October, North Myrtle Beach is Painting the Town Purple in recognition of Domestic
Violence Awareness Month. During the month of October, look for purple ribbon awareness signs along Main Street. They’re more than decorations—they’re a reminder that domestic violence can happen to anyone, and no one should face it alone.

Join the GFWC North Myrtle Beach Woman’s Club for a Paint the Town Purple Kickoff event on
Saturday, October 3rd at 10:00am in front of City Hall, with music, donuts and coffee, guest speakers, as well as an important message of awareness and hope.

Purple ribbons will be available for purchase. You can help by displaying purple ribbons at your home, your business, or on your car. The ribbons spark conversation and create awareness. Your attendance helps to show a united stand against domestic violence.
