Woman Arrested After Shooting Leaves One Person Dead, One Hurt

An investigation led to the arrest of India Walters, Scott's former girlfriend. She was charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.

A shooting in Robeson County claimed the life of one person and left another injured.

On Thursday, officers responded to the area of Main Street and Pine Street on reports of two people shot. Upon arrival, Ronnie Scott was found deceased after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds at his home. Saqua Locklear was found with a gunshot wound to the chest and taken to a hospital but her current condition is unknown.

An investigation led to the arrest of India Walters, Scott’s former girlfriend. She was charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder. She is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond as the investigation remains underway.
