Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Life Of One Person, Leaving Two Hurt

The vehicle veered off the left side of the road, overturned, and struck a ditch with three occupants inside.

A single vehicle crash in Florence County claimed the life of one person.

The accident happened around 1:30am Sunday on Cockfield Road at Tranquility Road. A 2014 Chevy pickup truck was heading west on Cockfield when it veered off the left side of the road, overturned, and struck a ditch.

There were three occupants, two were taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries. A third person was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Further details are limited but the South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
