22-Year-Old Man Charged In Connection To Fatal Shooting

22-year-old Cedrione McDowell has since been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle.

A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting.

The situation unfolded on Thursday night in the 100 block of Indian Heritage Road outside Lumberton. When police arrived, 24-year-old Kianna Jones of Rowland was found dead inside a vehicle. Martev Gunter of St. Paul’s was also a victim in the shooting but was not injured.

22-year-old Cedrione McDowell has since been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder and discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle. He is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond. The investigation remains active and anyone with information should contact authorities.
