Horry County American Legion Looks to Build Local Baseball Program

David Corriher, the American Legion baseball commissioner of Horry County was in the studio.

The American Legion’s youth programs help shape the next generation of American leaders by fostering citizenship, character, and a deep respect for our nation’s founding principles.

Since its inception in 1925, American Legion Baseball’s reputation as one of the most successful and tradition-rich amateur athletic leagues has endured. Today, the program registers teams in all 50 states plus Canada. Each year young people, ages 13 to 19, participate.

Tryouts are planned for the spring of 2027 at NMB High School.
