During the sales tax holiday, shoppers are allowed to purchase eligible items without paying state or local sales tax.

During the sales tax holiday, shoppers are allowed to purchase eligible items without paying state or local sales tax.

The items include school supplies, clothing and footware, computers and some technology, as well as bed and bath essentials.

As long as the item is eligible, it is tax free whether purchased in-store or online. The tax free weekend kicks off Aug. 7-9.
