Hyundai Issues Recall For Over 47K SUVs

Reduced seat belt performance could increase the risk of injury to vehicle occupants in the event of a crash.

Hyundai has issued a recall for more than 47,000 small SUVs.

The recall covers the 2025 Kona Electric and 2026 Kona vehicles. It was placed due to the rear center seat belt buckle that may not function properly. Reduced seat belt performance could increase the risk of injury to vehicle occupants in the event of a crash.

There have been no confirmed incidents, crashes, fires or injuries due to the issue. Owners are advised to avoid using the rear center seating position until the recall remedy is complete.
