Investigation Underway Following Death Of 23-Year-Old Woman

The incident is being investigated by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Division and more.

An investigation is underway following a fatal incident that occurred in Marion County.

Around 9:30pm on Sunday, police responded to the area of Highway 41 S. near Belin Court. Upon arrival, deputies reportedly determined that there had been a domestic-related incident involving a motor vehicle. The situation resulted in the death of 23-year-old Madysen Squires.

Additional information has not been publicly released at this time. The incident is being investigated by the sheriff’s office’s Criminal Investigation Division, along with the Marion County Coroner’s Office, the South Carolina Highway Patrol’s Multi-disciplinary Accident Investigation Team and the SLED.
