Fireworks Safety with the Myrtle Beach Fire Department

Fireworks may only be used on private property from 7:00am to 10:00pm, and until 12:30am on July 5th.

Capt. Jonathan Evans of the Myrtle Beach Fire Department stops by the studio ahead of the 4th of July with information on staying safe this holiday weekend as well as details on fireworks laws.

Fireworks may only be used on private property from 7:00am to 10:00pm, and until 12:30am on July 5th. Discharging fireworks at structures, people, animals, or vehicles will not be tolerated.

Also, the department is reminding everyeone to be safe while taking part in water activities. Always have a Water Watcher for kids so that someone is keeping an eye on them while they swim, and never put yourself in danger by going deeper then you can comforataby swim.
