Tippy Toes Baby Food Puree Recalled

The puree was sold in retail grocery stores nationwide with the best by date of July 17, 2026.

‘Tippy Toes’ baby food puree has been recalled over potential health risks to children.

The Apple Pear Banana Fruit Puree, made by Initiative Foods, is being recalled due to elevated levels of patulin. The naturally occurring substance is produced by molds that grow in various fruits, including apples.

Long-term exposure to patulin could result in adverse health consequences, including immune suppression, nerve damage, headache, fever and nausea. No illnesses or injuries have been reported so far.

The puree was sold in retail grocery stores nationwide with the best by date of July 17, 2026. Consumers should bring the puree back to the place of purchase for a refund.
