Horry Co. Fire Destroys Home, Displacing Family, Leaving One Person Hurt

One person was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries while the home was deemed a total loss.

A fire in Horry County prompted a multi-department response.

The flames broke out shortly after 9:30am Thursday morning at a residence along the 800 block of West Highway 9 Business.

One person was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries while the home was deemed a total loss. The family that was displaced will be offered assistance from the American Red Cross of S.C..

Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded along with assistance from the Loris Fire Department, and the Tabor City Fire Department.
