SLED Raises Money To Help Fund Fallen K9 Memorials

The fundraising plan comes following the death of SLED K9 Rico in 2023 and SLED K9 Coba in 2024.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is raising money to help fund a K9 memorial.

The Society of Former Agents and the Foundation of Former Employees of SLED are accepting voluntary donations to support the gift that will be at the state’s headquarters in Columbia.

The fundraising plan comes following the death of SLED K9 Rico in 2023 and SLED K9 Coba in 2024.

The agency aims to raise 100% of the funds needed to build the memorial with locally sourced materials.
