Fire Destroys Horry Co. Home Leaving One Person Injured

Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to the flames on Southland Drive.

A home in Horry County was destroyed during an early morning fire.

Around 2:30am Tuesday, Horry County Fire Rescue crews responded to the flames on Southland Drive in the Longs area.

The mobile home was significantly damaged, and one person was transported to a hospital to be treated. A displaced resident will be offered assistance from the S.C. American Red Cross.

The incident was under control around 3:30am but the fire is still under investigation.
