Ukraine, U.S., And Russia Host Three-Way Discussions

Discussions will involve negotiating to end the nearly four-year war between Russia and Ukraine.

Ukraine, the U.S., and Russia are hosting discussions in the United Arab Emirates Friday.

The meeting marks the first known talks attended by all three countries since Moscow’s full-scale invasion in 2022. Discussions will involve negotiating to end the nearly four-year war between Russia and Ukraine.

The three-way encounter comes just after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with Trump overnight.

The Kremlin insisted that to reach a peace deal, Kyiv must withdraw its troops from the areas in the east that Russia illegally annexed but never fully captured. Meanwhile, Zelensky reiterated his openness to establishing a free trade zone under Ukraine’s control in the country’s east.
