Myrtle Beach Dentist Accused Of Violating Drug Distribution Laws

Dr. Robert Kroepel led the private practice New York Dental South off of Inlet Square Drive.

A dentist in Horry County has been arrested. 59-year-old Dr. Robert Kroepel led the private practice New York Dental South off of Inlet Square Drive near Highway 17 Business.

Last week, Kroepel was arrested on seven counts of violating drug distribution laws. Authorities believe that between June and August of last year, he used his DEA registration to send anti-anxiety medications  alprazolam and lorazepam to his office at Sand Oak Dental on N. Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach. The warrants did not specify dosages.

An investigation claims that the defendant ordered drugs for personal use and failed to document the administration or dispensing of said controlled substances. Kroepel is no longer with the practice. He was released from jail on a $20,000 bond.
