One of the main points is over land ownership, which is what sparked the over three year war initially, with Russia attempting to seize Ukrainian territory.

Multiple attempts to get Russia and Ukraine to agree on a ceasefire have failed. However, Trump’s impatience with the ongoing conflict has helped to bring both sides to the negotiating table.
