Man Arrested In Connection To Sexual Assault Investigation

One man has been arrested in connection to a sexual assault investigation.

On Wednesday, investigators executed a search warrant at the residence of 45-year-old Derek Bullard. He was taken into custody and faces several charges, including statutory rape of a child under 15, statutory sexual offense with a child under 15, crimes against nature, indecent liberties with a child, first-degree kidnapping, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Bullard is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center without bond. Further details were not immediately available. An investigation remains underway and anyone with information is asked to contact Robeson Co. officials.
