A federal officer shot a man during an altercation in Minneapolis Wednesday.
Federal officers were carrying out a traffic stop on a Venezuelan migrant who in attempt to evade arrest, fled the scene in his vehicle and crashed into a parked car. The subject then fled on foot before a law enforcement officer caught up to them.
The officer attempted to apprehend them when the subject began to resist and violently assault the officer. Two other people also jumped in on the attack assaulting the officer with a shovel and broom handle. During the ambush of the two others, the subject got loose and began striking the officer with a shovel or broom stick. The officer then fired a defensive shot hitting the initial subject in the leg.
