Fire In Florence Co. Claims Life Of One Person

The Florence County Sheriff's Office was asked to investigate.

A fire in Florence County claimed the life of one person.

The flames broke out around 9:45pm Thursday at a home in the 1100 block of W. Old No. 4 Highway in the Coward area.

Crews remained on the scene until around 2:30am Friday. The cause of the blaze is now under investigation.

The Florence County Sheriff’s Office was asked to investigate, which is normal when a fatality occurs.

The name of the deceased individual was not publicly revealed.
