Victim Of Fatal Crash Identified As 17-Year-Old

The accident happened along Moss Neck Road near Holly Swamp Church Road.

A two-vehicle crash in Robeson County claimed the life of one person.

The accident happened along Moss Neck Road near Holly Swamp Church Road just outside of Lumberton.

A Nissan Sentra was traveling east when it crossed over the centerline and collided head-on with a Kia. The Kia veered off the right side of the road before striking a ditch.

The Nissan caught fire, becoming fully engulfed. The driver was identified as 17-year-old Caleb Woodell who was ejected from his car and did not survive.

The driver of the Kia was taken to a hospital with serious injuries but their condition is unknown. It is believed that speed was a factor and impairment was not suspected.
