Man Facing Charges After Attempting To Hit Officer

The officer was standing outside their vehicle during a traffic stop on Saturday.

One man is facing charges following a series of events in Horry County.

38-year-old Cassidy Harding allegedly attempted to hit an officer as they were standing outside their vehicle during a traffic stop on Saturday.

Details remain extremely limited, but we do know Harding has been charged with attempted murder, resisting arrest, and several traffic offenses. Other charges include failure to appear, speeding, failure to stop for blue lights, operating an uninsured vehicle, and use of a license plate on a vehicle other than what it was issued for.

Harding is being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center without bond.
