19-year-old Zynaija Thomas was taken to a local hospital where she later died.

A shooting in Florence County resulted in the death of one person.

Around 11:30am Monday, 19-year-old Zynaija Thomas occupied a vehicle along Roberts Street. Another vehicle approached hers and shot into it.

The woman was taken to a local hospital where she later died. The situation remains under investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact Florence County authorities.
