Wanted Man Arrested Following Police Chase

A wanted man's car was spotted on a flock camera prompting police to attempt a traffic stop.

One man is facing charges following a police chase in Florence County Thursday.

A wanted man’s car was spotted on a flock camera prompting police to attempt a traffic stop.

The driver, Zahir Bouie, refused to stop leading to a chase that ended when the vehicle ran off the road and struck two mailboxes along Pamplico Highway.

Bouie was arrested for failure to stop, open container, and simple possession of marijuana. He was wanted for several forgeries, identity fraud, and other electronic crimes.

Aa passenger of the suspect’s vehicle was also charged for possession of marijuana and open container. A firearm was recovered from the stop and further charges are expected.
