Google Maps Introduces New AI Features

The new features include hands-free help with multi-step tasks such as getting answers to hyper-specific questions.

Google has introduced new features supported by Gemini AI to it’s maps tool.

The company is introducing “the first hands-free, conversational driving experience in google maps, built with gemini and comprehensive information about the real world.”

The new features include hands-free help with multi-step tasks such as getting answers to hyper-specific questions. Another new feature is the landmark-based navigation which will call out landmarks in addition to distances, providing precise instructions.

Other features include connecting to other apps, proactive traffic alerts, and more. The new AI upgrades will roll out gradually later this month.
