A crash involving a motorcycle claimed the life of one person.

The accident happened Monday morning along Highway 17 Bypass at the intersection of Inlet Square Drive in the Murrells Inlet area.

A Ford SUV was traveling north on the highway before it attempted to turn left onto Inlet Square. That’s when a KTM motorcycle struck the side of the Ford.

The motorcyclist did not survive the injuries they sustained. The driver of the Ford was not hurt.
