Marion Co. Crash Results In Death Of Pedestrian

A Buick struck a Jeep SUV that was parked in the middle of the roadway facing west.

A crash in Marion County resulted in the death of one person.

The accident happened around 3am Sunday on Secondary 41, also known as Senator Gasque Road, near Wellman Road.

A Buick was traveling east on Secondary 41 when it struck a Jeep SUV that was parked in the middle of the roadway facing west.

The buick then struck a pedestrian who was outside of the Jeep. The pedestrian did not survive the injuries they sustained. Their identity has not been publicly revealed.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
