Man Arrested Following Fatal Florence Co. Shooting

36-year-old Steven Howle was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

One man was arrested following a shooting in Florence County.

On Saturday, 36-year-old Steven Howle reportedly traveled from his home in Lamar to a location near Southern Pine Mobile Home Park on Barley Court.

There, he got into an altercation with another person that prompted shots fired. The victim was fatally struck by gunfire.

Howle was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He is being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing. Further details are limited as an investigation remains underway.
