Travel Companies Predict Gas Prices To Drop
Across the country, analysts predict a dip below $3 a gallon soon, for the first time in four years.
As the cost of oil barrels decrease below $60, both AAA and GasBuddy are predicting prices at the pump will drop.
The national average has dropped more than 5-cents to $3.05 a gallon. A week ago, the average was $3.11 and a month ago it sat at $3.18 a gallon. This time last year, the average was $3.20. Across the country, analysts predict a dip below $3 a gallon soon, for the first time in four years.
Several factors are behind the drop, including lower demand, falling crude oil prices, and a cheaper winter-blend gas at the pump. Also, hurricane season has not impacted oil refineries or drilling along the gulf.
