Shooting In Robeson Co. Results In Juvenile’s Death

Deputies responded to the area of Highway 74 W. and Hidden Valley Road just outside of Rowland.

A situation in Robeson County claimed the life of a 15-year-old.

Shortly before 1pm on Sunday, deputies responded to the area of Highway 74 W. and Hidden Valley Road just outside of Rowland.

Cannan Scott of Pembroke was found shot and pronounced dead at the scene. The case is being investigated as a homicide.

Investigators have identified a person of interest. Further details remain limited as authorities work to learn more.
