Two Dead, Several Injured In Alabama Shooting
Those who died were identified as 17-year-old Jeremiah Morris and 43-year-old Shalonda Williams.
A shooting in the downtown nightlife district of Alabama’s capital city left two people dead and several others injured.
The shooting unfolded shortly after a football game between Tuskegee University and Morehouse College in Montgomery. However, the shooting was unrelated to any of the sporting or community events that were being held.
An exchange of gunfire broke out between two groups in the middle of a crowd. At least two people are known to have been armed during the incident. The suspects have not been publicly identified and no charges have been filed at this time.
Those who died were identified as 17-year-old Jeremiah Morris and 43-year-old Shalonda Williams. Five of those injured were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, and the remaining seven had minor injuries. The youngest victim was 16 and seven altogether were younger than 20.
