481k Anker Power Banks Recalled
The devices were sold at Best Buy, Target, and other retail stores nationwide, as well as online.
A recall has been placed on around 481,000 Anker power banks.
The recall involves power banks that can be used as portable electronic charging devices for smartphones, laptops, and tablets.
It was placed due to the possibility of the lithium-ion batteries in the device overheating, posing fire and burn hazards. There have been 33 reports of fire and explosion incidents.
The devices were sold at Best Buy, Target, and other retail stores nationwide, as well as online from August, 2023 through June, 2025.
Consumers should stop use immediately and contact Anker for a refund.
