Trump Administration Reveals Terms Of Possible TikTok Deal

The U.S. administration would reportedly not have a stake in the joint venture nor be part of its board.

The Trump administration has revealed the terms of a new TikTok deal.

Tech giant Oracle will lead U.S. oversight of the algorithm and security underlying the popular video platform.

Along with Oracle, several joint venture partners will also include the investment firm Silver Lake Partners and possibly two billionaires. That includes Rupert Murdoch and Michael Dell.

The U.S. administration would reportedly not have a stake in the joint venture nor be part of its board.

President Trump is expected to issue an executive order that declares that the terms of the deal meet the security concerns laid out by the law.

China still needs to sign off on the framework proposal, and any final deal would still require regulatory approval.
