The suspect accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.

22-year-old Tyler Robinson is currently being held without bail at the Utah County Jail on charges including aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm and obstruction of justice.

Robinson is being held in a special housing unit and will remain on special watch pending a mental health evaluation, a process that could take several days.

Investigators are continuing to look into a motive behind that fatal shooting. Robinson is not cooperating with authorities. However, investigators pointed to gaming and “dark internet” culture as potential factors that allegedly radicalized him. They are also looking into Robinson’s romantic relationship with his roommate, who is transitioning from male to female, as possible motivation for the shooting.

Kirk was shot during a Q&A event at the Utah Valley University last Wednesday.
