Several Democratic-Led States Form West Coast Health Alliance

The states involved, claim their health alliance will provide "science-driven" advice on vaccines as opposed to Kennedy's approach.

Several Democratic-led states along the West Coast announced a new public health alliance.

The move marks a stance against Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. It comes after a letter signed by over 1,000 HHS employees called for Kennedy to resign from his position claiming he is “compromising the health of the nation.”

The move also comes following the ousting of CDC Director Susan Monarez along with several top officials who resigned.

The states involved, claim their health alliance will provide “science-driven” advice on vaccines as opposed to Kennedy’s approach as a so called vaccine skeptic.

“To protect the health of our communities, the West Coast Health Alliance will continue to ensure that our public health strategies are based on best available science,” leaders of the alliance said.
