Suspect Charged In Connection To Wells Fargo Bank Robbery

52-year-old Lawrence Swindell entered the Wells Fargo bank located along N. Elm Street in Lumberton.

One man has been arrested in connection to a bank robbery in Robeson County.

Around 2pm Tuesday, 52-year-old Lawrence Swindell entered the Wells Fargo bank located along N. Elm Street in Lumberton.

The suspect was sporting a mask when he approached a teller demanding money and then fled in a dark-colored Sedan with an unknown amount of cash.

Swindell was arrested around 4pm and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping and felony conspiracy. He is being held at the Robeson County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
