The lawsuits were filed in connection to a shooting that unfolded during Memorial Day Weekend in Horry County.
Around 124 people were on board a private charter boat for a celebration. After the boat docked, shots were fired, leading to 11 injuries.
Four people who were aboard the boat named Hurricane Fleet, LLC, Little River Campground, Inc., and others, in the lawsuits.
They claim that the company’s various forms of negligence played a role in the May 25 shooting that could have been prevented if the defendants “exercised the reasonable and requisite care and attention required.” –
The plaintiffs are suing for damages in accordance with lost wages, medical bills, legal fees and more.
Hurricane Fleet and its owners have 30 days to respond to the initial complaints.
