One man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that unfolded in Florence.
On August 1, police were called to the 1300 block of W. Dixie Street. Upon arrival, seven victims were found suffering injuries and several bullet holes were discovered inside and outside the apartment.
An investigation revealed that an argument occurred between one of the residents and 24-year-old Kareem Jones. The verbal dispute led to physical violence prompting Jones to pull out a gun and shoot each victim, including two minors.
Jones fled the scene before authorities arrived. He was located Tuesday night and taken into custody. He was charged with seven counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, breach of peace, high and aggravated, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and shooting into a dwelling.
