HCS Launches AI Monitoring System For Public Safety

It's designed to identify threatening language and inappropriate searches related to weapons and threats.

Horry County Schools launched a new monitoring system for the upcoming school year.

Students will return to classrooms on Monday and will be introduced to the system dubbed ‘Linewize.’

It’s designed to identify threatening language and inappropriate searches related to weapons and threats on all school-issued devices, as well as personal devices like cell phones that connect to the school’s WiFi network.

The monitoring will cover both on campus and at home locations, with real-time alerts sent to school officials.

The goal with the new system is to focus solely on information directly related to public safety.
