Socastee Swing Bridge To Close For ‘Outer Banks’ Filming

The Socastee Swing Bridge is scheduled to close soon for an exciting reason.

On July 29, the bridge will be closed as it will be featured in the popular Netflix show ‘Outer Banks.’

Film Office Manager in South Carolina, Matt Storm, said it the filming will involve stunt work.

The bridge will be used from 10am-8pm.

Dick Pond Rd will also be closed from Waterway Ln to Peachtree Rd during those times.

Traffic will be detoured to Highway 544.

The bridge will reopen July 30.
