Iga Swiatek Wins Wimbledon Women’s Final
The 24-year-old Polish player also became the first woman since 1911 to win the Wimbledon Final without losing a single game.
The Wimbledon Women’s Final was held on Saturday.
It only took 57 minutes for No. 8 seeded Iga Swiatek to dominate the No. 13 Amanda Anisimova 6-0 twice. Through the victory, she gained her sixth Grand Slam title.
Swiatek has been dominant in her career, winning the French Open four times. However, she had not made it past the Quarterfinals of Wimbledon prior to this year.
The 24-year-old Polish player also became the first woman since 1911 to win the Wimbledon Final without losing a single game.
