NMB City Council Approves New Golf Cart Oridnance
Drivers must be at least 16-years-old with a driver's license and liability insurance.
The North Myrtle Beach City Council has approved a new golf cart law.
The new ordinance allows golf carts to be driven on certain roads.
The golf carts will be able to operate from sunrise to sunset on public highways and streets that have a speed limit of 35 mph or less.
Drivers must be at least 16-years-old with a driver’s license and liability insurance.
Any passenger younger than 12 will need to wear a seatbelt or be properly restrained in a car seat or booster seat while on the roadways.
There are penalties included for violations that involve a fine of $100 and/or up to 30 days in jail
