The Foods You Should Never Store in the Fridge Door

Putting food and drinks in your fridge might seem like a simple task, but it turns out there’s a strategy to it.

The fridge door, in particular, is the warmest and most inconsistent part of the fridge. That’s because cold air escapes each time you open it, letting warmer air rush in. Storing dairy, eggs, raw meat, or leftovers there can lead to faster spoilage or even make you sick. Instead, keep perishable items like dairy on the middle shelves near the cooling fans, and use the door for condiments and drinks.
