Little River Mass Shooting Suspect’s Attorney Speaks Out

The attorney for a suspect believed to be involved in the Horry County party boat shooting that occurred over Memorial Day weekend is speaking out for the first time.

An investigation later led to the arrest of 19-year-old Shawon Williams who was charged with accessory after the fact. His attorney is insisting he had nothing to do with the violence.

Amid the chaos, Williams reportedly gave a juvenile a ride while attempting to flee the scene to safety. His attorney alleges that Williams had no knowledge that the 16-year-old had any responsibility for the shooting.

Williams is out on a $15,000 bond but must remain in Little River as investigators work to learn more.

The 16-year-old, who has not been publicly named, is facing eight counts of attempted murder.
