Several Injured During “Targeted Terror Attack” In Boulder, Colorado

The attack took place during an event calling for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza.

One suspect was taken into custody Sunday after an attack at a pedestrian mall in Boulder, Colorado.

Eight victims were attacked ages 52-88, in which several people were set on fire. The victims suffered injuries ranging from minor to serious. At least two of them were airlifted to a hospital in the Denver area.

The attack took place during an event calling for the release of Israeli hostages in Gaza. The suspect has been identified as 45-year-old Mohamed Soliman. He reportedly yelled “Free Palestine” during the attack.

The FBI has described the incident as a “targeted terror attack.” Witnesses reported seeing Soliman use a makeshift flamethrower and throw an incendiary device into the crowd.

The attack unfolded in what is described as a “regularly scheduled, weekly peaceful event.”

“Hate has no place in Colorado. We all have the right to peaceably assemble and the freedom to speak our views,” Colorado AG Phil Weiser said.
