70% of Americans Mentally Check Out of Work Three Days Before Vacation
If you’ve got a vacation coming up, chances are you’re already there mentally. According to a new survey, 70% of Americans mentally clock out of work and slip into “vacation mode” a full three days before they even leave. People say just knowing a vacation is coming helps their mental well-being and boosts happiness. However, experts note that checking out early can be a sign of workplace fatigue, along with brain fog, daydreaming, and becoming irritable with others. Taking time off to relax is a great way to reset and come back refreshed.
