Elon Musk Departs From Trump Administration Role
Musk’s role working for Trump was intended to be temporary from the start.
Elon Musk is leaving his Trump administration role as a top adviser.
The billionaire led President Trump’s DOGE and his departure marks the end of a turbulent chapter.
During his time, thousands of layoffs were conducted, government agencies were shut down, and there were a number of litigations.
Musk’s role working for Trump was intended to be temporary from the start. He recently signaled that he would be shifting his attention back to running his businesses, such as Tesla and SpaceX.
“As my scheduled time as a special government employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President Trump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending. The DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government,” Musk said.
