Mechanic Shop Destroyed In Dillon Co. Fire

The flames broke out at the shop located on Highway 57 south in the Floydale Community.

A fire in the Dillon County area destroyed a mechanic shop on Sunday.

Shortly before 11pm, flames broke out at the shop located on Highway 57 south in the Floydale Community.

Around 25 firefighters with the Floydale and Dillon County Fire Departments were deployed to get the flames under control.

It’s unclear what ignited the fire at this time.

The mechanic shop which has been around for over 20 years was destroyed.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
