Man Arrested After Possible Largest Fentanyl Bust In Horry Co. History

Driver Omega Wilson failed to stop and sped off while throwing several bricks of fentanyl out of the car window before he crashed.

The Horry County Police Department says a recent fentanyl bust is possibly the largest in the county’s history.

On Friday, an officer attempted a traffic stop near Fantasy Harbor Boulevard and Forestbrook Road on a vehicle that made an improper turn.

Driver Omega Wilson failed to stop and sped off while throwing several bricks of fentanyl out of the car window before he crashed.

Several vehicles were damaged during the chase that ended near Pine Island Road in Myrtle Beach. At least one bystander was injured.

Police recovered more than 25 pounds of fentanyl worth roughly $1 million.

Meth, cocaine, three firearms and other drugs were also found in the car.

Wilson is charged with failure to stop for a blue light with great bodily injury and trafficking in fentanyl.
