Deputy AG Todd Blanche Appointed Acting Librarian Of Congress

“Todd is an excellent attorney who will be a crucial leader in the Justice Department, fixing what has been a broken system of justice for far too long,” Trump said.

President Trump’s former lead attorney in his New York hush money case has been tapped to take on a leading position.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has been appointed to the role of acting Librarian of Congress.

The Library of Congress houses the Congressional Research Service. It provides non-partisan information to assist in the drafting of legislation, and the copyright office. It also functions as the nation’s library, holding more than 25 million cataloged books.

“Todd is an excellent attorney who will be a crucial leader in the Justice Department, fixing what has been a broken system of justice for far too long,” Trump said.

The move comes just days after the president fired former Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden. She was the first woman and the first African American in the position.
